Date: 9 Oct 2010
Status: Seats Available
Price: $109 per person

Every railroad has its ties, but the 144-year-old Delaware and Ulster Railroad has a tie to Northeastern Pennsylvania – it used to help carry coal from the anthracite mines to New York City. It used a round-about route – through the Catskills – but it was that route that gave it fame as "the most scenic line in the East" for the passengers who enjoyed its elegance and sightseeing splendor. You'll see that splendor and enjoy a sumptuous Lunch in the domed Observation Car of the Delaware and Hudson's lovingly refurbished Rip Van Winkle Flyer Dinner Train. For each trip, we'll need to know your meal choice when you place your reservation.

Ascend 1100 feet for majestic views of mountainside vistas, fall foliage and the action below. At the summit, hike if you like or ride the lift back to the base. More information at www.plattekill.com.

*All tickets and boarding passes will be sent with the driver on the day of your trip.
