Tulips rule, and there's no better place for them to govern the greenery than Canada's capital city, Ottawa. Their triumphal tenure is in May, during Ottawa's annual Tulip Festival, and we pay them our respects on a comprehensive tour of this historic and beautiful city. We don't think the tulips will mind if we add these stops to our sightseeing; Byward Market, where Ottawa was born in 1826. Byward is now a large public market and Ottawa's maintain this British tradition of equestrain skill with precision performance on horseback at the RCMP Rockcliffe Stables. The Mounties are not always here, but their history and heritage are!..and of course, the Parliament Buildings, where people rule when the tulips don't. Also includes the Royal Canadian Mint, Museum of Civilization, 2 buffet breakfasts, 2 dinners, and accommodations at the Radisson Hotel.
